Marie is a survivor of the 2017 London Bridge terror attack. She was seriously injured and spent many months in hospital and rehabilitation. Her partner is also a survivor of the attack, and together they rebuilt their lives, later moving to Sydney where they are now raising two children.

Since the attack, Marie has spoken publicly about her experience, focusing on the reality of recovery after terrorism and the long, often unseen road to normalcy.
